Lucerne is about 55 kilometres south-west of Zürich and a drive of around 55 minutes. It is one of the easiest day trips in central Switzerland, with the lake and Mount Pilatus waiting at the end.
The route heads south through the Knonauer Amt and skirts the Lake of Zug before reaching the Lake Lucerne basin. The scenery shifts from suburbs to gentle hills, then to the water and the Pilatus massif ahead.
Lucerne's old town, the Chapel Bridge and the lakefront promenade are close to each other, but vehicle access is limited in places. Your chauffeur knows where to stop so that you walk the shortest distance to your hotel or to the boat landing.
Many guests arrive from Zürich Airport with luggage after a long flight. We meet you at arrivals, load the bags and drive straight through, so you reach your hotel without changing at Zürich main station.
For day visits, the car can wait or collect you later for the return. Pilatus and Rigi excursions, lunch on the lake or a concert at the KKL are easier when the transfer is already organised.
